Inaugural Charlotte Challenge proves to be a great event
Family fun, music, food, and prizes were all part of this great event. Held Saturday May 22, 2010 the Charlotte Challenge was enjoyed by all. It may have been small in scale this first time but this event holds great promise for the future.

Y's Men's Club would also like to thank all participants, volunteers, DJ Jason Fair,

The team from Donatos Restaurant was the overall winner of the Charlotte Challenge taking home first place trophies. Gulfcoast Engraving finished second, Miller Time placed third, and the YMCA Ramblers were fourth. Team Jakubaitis and Team Pro Air placed fifth and sixth in the challenges.

Y's Men's Club Secretary Dr. Steve Jakubaitis presents $1000 scholarship to North Port High School senior Cheyenne Emrich
2010 Scholarships awarded
The Y's Men’s Club awarded $3000 in scholarships to worthy graduating seniors this year. All three high school seniors will be attending college beginning this fall. The winners of this year's Y's Men's Club $1000 Scholarships are Charlotte High School senior Nathan Keibler, Port Charlotte High School senior Sayna Sanon, and North Port High School senior Cheyenne Emrich who is pictured above. This was the fourth year that the Y's Men's Club Scholarships have been awarded.
New officers elected for 2010
Y's Men's Club incumbents President Gary Miller, Secretary Steve Jakubaitis, and 1st Vice President Terry Schoeck were all returned to their positions of leadership within the club as a result of the recent election of officers. Two new officers were also elected. The new 2nd Vice President will be Pat Lewis, and his wife, Kathy Lewis will become the new Treasurer for 2010. Thanks go to long-time Treasurer Pam Brown for her years of service to the club as well as immediate past 2nd Vice President Jason Fair.
