First Annual Charlotte Challenge: The inaugural Charlotte Challenge will be held at the YMCA's Dotzler Park on Bayshore on May 22, 2010. Y's Men's Club presented with certificates for charitable works during Christmas 2006. See certificates
The Y's Men’s Club 2010 Bowling Tournament was held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Treasure Lanes in Port Charlotte. . There were 15 teams in the field which helped to raise funds for YMCA youth oriented projects. It was the 7th Annual Tournament organized by Terry Schoeck. It continues to grow and has proven to be great fun.

Inaugural Charlotte Challenge now scheduled to be held
May 22nd
Sponsors and participating
teams are now being sought to compete in the first Annual Charlotte
Challenge which is planned for May 22, 2010. The The
Y's Men’s Club event will be held at the Dotzler YMCA
Outdoor Center located on Bayshore Drive in Port Charlotte. 4-Person
Teams will compete in Paint Ball Target Shooting, Canoe Port and Paddle,
Basketball Shooting, Tug of War, Corn Hole, and Archery. An Obstacle
Course competition between the four top teams will determine the
winner. Cost is $25 per person ($100 per team) with a discount for YMCA
members. Several levels of Sponsorships are available. All proceeds
will be used to benefit YMCA Youth Programs. Click Here for detailed

New officers elected for 2010
Y's Men's Club incumbents President Gary Miller, Secretary Steve Jakubaitis, and 1st Vice President Terry Schoeck were all returned to their positions of leadership within the club as a result of the recent election of officers. Two new officers were also elected. The new 2nd Vice President will be Pat Lewis, and his wife, Kathy Lewis will become the new Treasurer for 2010. Thanks go to long-time Treasurer Pam Brown for her years of service to the club as well as immediate past 2nd Vice President Jason Fair.
